The Creative Edit | JANUARY 2026
Real. Timeless. Emotive

Happy New Year, friends! I hope your holidays were peaceful, joy-filled, and everything you needed them to be. Our little family wrapped up 2025 with a visit from my mom, and for once, it was a mostly camera-free holiday — no big shoots, no pressure, just slow days, good food, and being present. The only photos that happened were a few phone snaps of my very cute dogs, which I’ll happily be sharing because… priorities.

Natalie’s Maternity Session
January is already off to a beautiful start with Natalie’s maternity session — the daughter of a dear friend’s best friend — photographed at her mother’s stunning Southern home. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect, with a front porch that feels like it was made for slow moments, soft light, and meaningful photographs.
This session was especially special knowing it’s just the beginning. I’ll be welcoming their little one later this month for a newborn session, and I’m so honored to continue telling their story from one season into the next.
December Headshot Pop-Up at Saurage Rotenberg
Before the year wrapped, I hosted a fun little headshot pop-up at Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate using my mobile studio setup. The goal was simple: fresh, modern headshots that still felt relaxed and approachable.
What I love most about these pop-ups is how easy they make it for busy professionals to update their images without the pressure of a full session — just clean light, simple backgrounds, and a bit of personality shining through. I’ll be sharing a couple favorites from the day below.
(And yes…more of these may be coming)
2026 Books Are Open — Spring Portraits, Anyone?
My 2026 calendar is officially open, and spring family portraits are already on my mind. If you’ve been thinking about:
- Spring family sessions
- Maternity or newborn photography
- Updated couple or lifestyle portraits
- Creative editorial sessions
I’d love to get you on the calendar early. Spring is one of my busiest seasons, and dates tend to go quickly.
A Peek at Our Family Christmas
This year’s Christmas was intentionally simple and mostly camera-free. With my mom in town, we leaned into slow mornings, home-cooked meals, and being fully present — no big plans, no formal photos, just time together.
The only documentation that happened was a handful of phone snapshots of our dogs (because of course), which I’ll be sharing below. Sometimes the best memories aren’t the ones carefully photographed, but the ones quietly lived.

Cheers to the New Year
Thank you for being here and for supporting my work year after year. I’m so excited for what 2026 has in store and can’t wait to create with you.
Wishing you a happy, healthy New Year,
Nicole
