Somehow we're already in August, and this summer has been full of meaningful sessions, wonderful families, and stories I'm so grateful to have been trusted to tell. This month I finally get to share a published Stroll feature, release one of my favorite engagement sessions of the year in New Orleans, and give you a peek at what's keeping me busy this month—including two sweet maternity sessions I'm especially looking forward to. As always, thank you for following along and for allowing me to do work I truly love. I can't wait to share what's next.

Published! The Lemann Family in Stroll

Last month I shared a little behind-the-scenes look at the Lemann family's session before the magazine hit mailboxes. Now that the August issue of Stroll has officially been delivered, I can finally share a few of my favorite images.


One of the things I love most about photographing families for Stroll is getting to tell a story that's about more than just beautiful portraits. Every family has its own personality, traditions, and little moments that make them unique, and it's always an honor to help preserve that.



Congratulations again to the Lemann family on a beautiful feature. I'm so excited to finally be able to share it with all of you!

Love in the French Quarter


Some sessions just feel like an adventure from the moment they begin.


This New Orleans engagement session started under gray skies with rain threatening every few minutes, but instead of letting the weather dictate the evening, we embraced it. Wandering through the French Quarter and the colorful streets of the Marigny gave us the perfect mix of historic architecture, hidden courtyards, quiet side streets, and vibrant color that makes New Orleans unlike anywhere else.


As daylight faded, we wrapped the evening back at a charming Marigny Airbnb, where we created a few final portraits in a setting that felt intimate, relaxed, and uniquely theirs.


These are the kinds of sessions I love most—less about posing and more about documenting two people enjoying the experience together. I couldn't be happier with how this gallery came together, and I'm so excited for everything ahead as they plan their wedding.

Sneak Peek: September's Stroll Feature


One of my favorite things about photographing Stroll families is getting to meet people whose stories are deeply connected to our community.


Last month I photographed the Picarella family for the September issue, and while I'll save the full story until next month's newsletter, I couldn't resist sharing one little sneak peek.

Growing Families


August is bringing two very different maternity sessions, and I honestly can't wait for both.  One sweet mama has chosen the Burden Museum & Gardens sunflower fields as the backdrop for her session—a perfect way to celebrate late summer before welcoming her little one.  The other will be photographed in the studio, where we'll create timeless, intimate portraits with a completely different feel.


I love that maternity photography can be whatever best reflects your family, whether that's surrounded by Louisiana sunshine or keeping the focus simple and classic in the studio. I can't wait to share both of these galleries next month.

Looking Ahead


One of the projects I'm most excited about this year is one I can't fully reveal just yet. Over the coming months, I'll be working alongside two incredibly talented collaborators to create an extensive collection of imagery that will help launch the next chapter of a local entrepreneur's business. It's a true creative partnership—one built around strategy, storytelling, and building a visual library that will serve the business well beyond launch day. I can't wait to share more as this exciting project begins to unfold.

Those prime dates disappear quickly each year, so booking early gives you the best selection of evenings.
