Real. Timeless. Emotive
Motherhood in Full Bloom
The Mother’s Day sessions I photographed this fall have been pure magic. These were the special packages many of you booked back in May, and I’m finally getting to see them come to life. Each one feels so full of love and personality—some moments are gently posed and timeless, while others are spontaneous and joyfully unplanned. That balance is what I love most: guiding enough to flatter, but leaving plenty of room for connection to unfold naturally.
November Stroll Feature
This month’s Stroll magazine feature is especially dear to me. The session was photographed in a documentary style—focused on storytelling and real, everyday connection—which perfectly suited the family and the story they wanted to tell. While I love capturing those natural, lived-in moments, my work often blends that approach with guided portraiture to create galleries that feel both authentic and artful. Keep an eye out for the November issue landing in Jefferson Place and Bocage mailboxes soon!
Just a Few Dates Left for 2025
It’s hard to believe we’re already wrapping up another year! I only have a handful of dates remaining for 2025 sessions—once they’re gone, that’s it until January. (I’ll pop the available dates in below.) If you’ve been thinking about booking family photos, a newborn session, or even a winter branding shoot, now’s the time to snag your spot!
- November 1
- November 8 - 9
- Weekdays now though November 14.

Welcome, Baby Luke
One of my favorite parts of this job is being invited into the most sacred, once-in-a-lifetime moments. Photographing Baby Luke’s birth was such a privilege—witnessing the strength, tenderness, and joy of those first moments never gets old. These sessions remind me why I do what I do.
A Little Life Update
Remember that epic road trip I teased earlier this year? After some thought (and a few long walks with our sweet 3-year-old pup), we realized she could use a playmate—and our senior pup could use a little peace and quiet.
So instead of exploring the American Southwest this November, we’ll be welcoming a new puppy into our family! She’ll come home the week before Thanksgiving, right when we would’ve been packing up the car. I can’t wait to introduce you to her soon—and to spend the holiday season soaking in all that puppy love.
Easy Homemade Apple Pie
Because Thanksgiving deserves dessert first—and trust me, this crust is way easier than it sounds.
Crust:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 6–8 tbsp ice water
- Whisk the flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in the cold butter with a pastry cutter (or your fingers) until it looks like coarse crumbs. Drizzle in ice water a tablespoon at a time until the dough just holds together. Divide in half, shape into disks, wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Filling:
- 6 cups sliced Granny Smith apples
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Toss the apples with sugar, flour, and spices. Roll out one crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Add the filling, then roll out the second crust to top. Trim, crimp edges, and cut a few small slits for venting.
To Bake:
Brush the top with a little milk or cream and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, then reduce to 350°F for 35–40 minutes, until golden and bubbly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and a cozy blanket. Heaven.

With Gratitude
As we head into Thanksgiving, I just want to say how thankful I am for each and every one of you—whether you’ve been in front of my camera, shared my work, or simply cheered from afar.
Wishing you a season filled with warmth, laughter, and a few extra slices of pie.
